Grafton, WI – After being named the Kapco Steel Slugger of 2019, Jake Thompson is adding another award to the list, the Rawlings Big Stick Award. The annual award is given to the player at each position who had the best batting average during the 2019 regular season. Thompson was given the award in the DH position after hitting .355 on the season, fourth best batting average in the league in 2019.

Thompson’s .355 batting average is good for third all time in the Chinooks record books. His 41 RBI’s places him fourth in the Chinooks record books. After playing at Kentucky, Jake has recently transferred to Oklahoma State.
