Fond du Lac, Wis. — Lakeshore’s season finale in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, ended abruptly on an eventual game-ending rain delay, Tuesday evening. Northwoods League officials called the game after 2 1/3 innings were played.

This game will not be made up.

At the time of the determination, the Dock Spiders lead the Chinooks 3-0. Lakeshore’s DJ Hess garnered his first start of the summer, after posting three previous appearances. Most recently, Hess pitched one inning against Kokomo on Aug. 8 where he relinquished one hit in the 9-3 loss to the Jackrabbits.

Lakeshore posts a 3-8 season-mark versus Fond du Lac this summer, with two of their three wins coming at Herr-Baker Field.

The Chinooks welcome the Madison Mallards to Kapco Park Wednesday for a two-game homestand, with the first pitch at 6:35 p.m.
