Grafton, WI – Chinooks added two Eastern Illinois players as Dalton Doyle and Jason DeCicco will head north to Lakeshore for the 2021 Northwoods League season.
Dalton Doyle (INF/Jr.) spent his first two collegiate seasons at Jefferson College in Hillsboro, Missouri. As a freshman, Doyle led the offense for the Vikings, playing in 66 games and hitting .314 with 13 home runs and 66 runs batted in. After two successful seasons at Jefferson, Dalton committed to play at Eastern Illinois and the season was cut short due to COVID-19. So far in 2021, he has started all 35 games for the Panthers while hitting 10 doubles, 5 home runs, and adding 24 RBI’s.
Jason DeCicco (LHP/Jr.) played his freshman season at Monmouth College, a D3 school in Monmouth, Illinois. He made seven starts posting a 3.80 ERA and added 33 strikeouts. The following season he played at McHenry County College where he pitched in 57.2 innings, posted a 5-2 record, and had a 3.59 ERA. He then committed to play at Eastern Illinois, redshirted the 2019 season, and pitched in 3.2 innings while only allowing 1 hit during the shortened 2020 season. In his last 5 appearances out of the bullpen here in 2021, DeCicco has pitched 7.1 innings while only giving up 1 earned run and posting an earned run average of 1.27.
The 2021 season is presented by Port Washington State Bank with the home opener set for June 3rd at 6:35pm against the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders. Season and group tickets are currently on sale with single game tickets available for purchase at the beginning of May.
