Grafton, WI – The Lakeshore Chinooks have announced their schedule for the 2016 season. The Northwoods League will play a 72 game schedule with the Chinooks hosting 36 home games at Kapco Park from early June until the middle of August.
The Chinooks will play their first four games on the road. Lakeshore's home opener will be on Saturday, June 4th against the Green Bay Bullfrogs at 6:35pm.
On June 7th, the Chinooks will host their annual Education Day with a special start time of 11:35am.
The Chinooks have also scheduled two Sunday daytime games for the upcoming season. On both June 19th and July 17th, the Chinooks will play at 1:35pm.
Lakeshore will also once again play two spilt double-headers against the Kenosha Kingfish. On June 20th, the Chinooks and Kingfish will play at Kapco Park at 11:35am followed by a second game in Kenosha at 7:05pm. On August 1st, the two teams will play the first game in Kenosha at 12:05pm followed by game two at Kapco Park at 6:35pm.
Monday through Saturday games will have a start time of 6:35pm. Sunday games will start at 5:05pm (excluding June 19th and July 17th). Gates for all home games will open one hour prior to first pitch.
The first half of the season will come to a close following the July 5th games with the second half starting on July 6th. The 2016 Northwoods League All-Star Game will be on July 19th. Location of the All-Star Game will be announced in the coming weeks. Madison will once again be hosting the Major League Dreams Showcase on August 9th. Northwoods League playoffs will run from August 15th to August 20th.
