The Madison Mallards are gearing up for what they hope will be a strong finish to their inaugural season at the ?Duck Pond? with a special promotion at four of the remaining five games. The Mallards return to Warner Park on Sunday, July 22 to take on the first place Wausau Woodchucks. This coming Tuesday, July 24, will be Print-Tech mock jersey night. The first 500 kids 14 and under to arrive at the ballpark will receive a free Mallards mock jersey. The following night, July 25 is WIBA floppy hat night presented by Remax. The first 500 fans in attendance will receive a complimentary floppy hat. Thursday, august 2 is Famous Footwear team hat night. The first 500 kids 14 and under will receive a free official Madison Mallards team hat. Lastly, on August 3, the Madison Mallards present Charter Communications fan appreciation night. It will be the Mallard?s chance to pay tribute to the people who really make baseball work in Madison.

After being looked at by the team physician, Pitcher Mike Springsteen left the team today due to a shoulder injury.
