The Mallards will open the season on the road vs. the Wausau Woodchucks on Fri. June 7 at 7:05. The Mallards first home game will be Sat. June 8 at 7:05 at the ?Duck Pond? at Warner Park. The ?Duck Pond? will also play host to the Mallards first ever exhibition game on Wed. June 5 at 6:05. The season will be highlighted by the 2002 NWL All-Star Game which will be played on Tue. July 16th in Madison (more details to come soon!).
The NWL schedule has been moved back one week (games will run from 6-7 thru 8-20 instead of 6-1 thru 8-13) this year to allow players more time to arrive at their summer team. The exhibition game on June 5th will be a 7 inning game that will give fans a great opportunity to get to know the 2002 Mallards thru several unique promotions (details will be provided at later date).
The Mallards completed a successful first season of NWL play last August, with the team drawing near sell-out crowds consistently at the end of the summer. The Mallards will have promotions going on for every home game this summer, and the specifics of those promotions will be released at a later date.
