The Madison Mallards will kick off their 2002 season with an exhibition game on Wednesday night against the Wausau Woodchucks. Game time is scheduled for 6:05pm at Warner Park.
The highlight of the night will be the appearance of Ferguson Jenkins, who will be on hand to sign autographs both before and during the game.
Jenkins is a Hall of Fame pitcher who won 284 career games, including 20 games on seven different occasions. He pitched for four teams during his glorious 19 year career, including the Chicago Cubs.
Gates open at 4:45 pm. Those who bring a canned good will receive free admission to the game.
