Kroll and Cabral are Currently Playing at California Colleges
Right-handed pitchers Brian Kroll and Corey Cabral have agreed to play for the Madison Mallards this summer. Both are currently completing their college seasons in California. Kroll is in his first season playing for Chico State.
Cabral, a Sacramento, Calif. native, is a freshman at San Jose State.
After spending two seasons at Chabot Community College (California), Kroll transferred to Chico State. The 6?3?, 195 lb. junior has six wins and four losses in 11 starts this year. Kroll leads the Wildcats with four complete games. This season he is averaging more than two strikeouts (43) for every walk (19). Kroll has pitched 73.2 innings for Chico State (36-17).
Cabral has a 2-1 record in 12 appearances in his first season of collegiate baseball. The 6?0?, 180-pounder has started four games for the Spartans. In 28.2 innings of work he has 26 strikeouts and a 3.45 earned-run average. Corey?s older brother, Augie, plays college baseball at Morehead State.

The Mallards home opener is Wednesday, June 11th at 7:05 vs. the St. Cloud River Bats. Mallards Season Tickets are currently available at the Mallards office for only $150 per seat. Single game tickets are also now available at The Duck Pond at Warner Park.
