Student Station and Mallards Continue Partnership
The Madison Mallards are pleased to announce that WSUM, 91.7 FM will be their radio partner for the 2003 season. This will be the second year of the union between the Mallards and the student radio station. After broadcasting the majority of Mallards games in 2002, WSUM has agreed to carry every Mallards contest both home and away in 2003.
?Broadcasting games on WSUM is a natural fit for us,? Mallards General Manager Vern Stenman said. ?In addition to preparing players on the field for professional careers, we are excited to have the opportunity to help students prepare for a future in broadcasting.?
?Innovative Radio for Independent Minds,? WSUM is the student radio station of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After broadcasting on the Internet for several years, WSUM hit the airwaves in the spring of 2002.
The Mallards home opener is Wednesday, June 11th at 7:05 vs. the St. Cloud River Bats. Mallards Season Tickets are currently available at the Mallards office for only $150 per seat. Single game tickets are also now available at The Duck Pond at Warner Park.
