ROCHESTER, Minn. – Sean Alexander had three of Madison’s franchise-record 10 stolen bases as the Mallards quieted the Rochester Honkers 6-2 Thursday night in a Northwoods League game in front of a crowd of 1,480 at Mayo Field.

The 10 stolen bases broke the previous team record of eight, set Wednesday in a 9-3 victory over Waterloo. Kyle Yates swiped two bases for Madison, which has 20 steals in three games this season.

The Mallards (2-1) grabbed a 4-2 lead after six innings en route to their second straight victory. Illinois right-hander Andy Sigerich won his first start for Madison, striking out seven and walking one in five innings of three-hit ball.
