THE DUCK POND — The Madison Mallards are flying high with a five-game winning streak, but they won?t be the only reason that the Duck Pond will be rocking tonight. The Duck Pond Concert Series, presented by Luther?s Blues and Budweiser, is making it?s first appearance of the season as Westside Andy and the Mel Ford Band will be performing live on the Great Dane Duck Blind before and after tonight?s game against Duluth.

This is the second season in a row that Westside Andy has come out to the Duck Pond and Mallards fans couldn?t be happier.

?Westside Andy rocks,? exclaimed Mallards fan Matt Thielan of Monona, ?he?s the perfect guy to be out here. Good baseball and good tunes!?

This is just the first of a long line of concerts planned at the Duck Pond this summer. Tomorrow night, the Mallards will welcome Johnny Rocker & the High Rollers. Keep checking www.mallardsbaseball.com for more concert information.

It is also a big night promotionally as every fan that walks through the gates tonight will receive a Mallards magnet schedule courtesy of Chet?s Car Care Center. The schedules are shaped like home plate and are the perfect compliment to any fridge door.

Also, one lucky fan will win a new car! It?s the Smart Toyota ?Keys to Victory? Night. The first 1,000 fans 16 and older will receive a car key. Tomorrow, head over to Smart Toyota on Odana Road. If your key starts the car, you drive it away! Get here early to make sure you get your key.

By the way, we also have a baseball game to play. The Madison Mallards are in first place and looking to extend their 5 game winning streak. The Ducks have stolen 50 bases in just the first 10 games, already passing last season?s entire stolen base total of 49. This also marks the first ever meeting between the Mallards and the Huskies at Warner Park.

Limited tickets are available for this weekend?s series by calling 246-4277. You can also purchase Mallards Quack Packs at any Stop-N-Go location or at Jim?s Card Korner on University Avenue.
