The Madison Mallards snapped a three-game losing streak by coming back from a 6-4 deficit and eventually winning 7-6 over the La Crosse Loggers. Doug Beck was two for six with three RBI including the game-winner in the 11th. With the score knotted at six, Beck laid down a perfect bunt scored Mike Rohde to seal the victory for the Mallards. Kyle Yates picks up the win for the Mallards improving to 3-1 on the season. Yates retired only one batter, but was the winning pitcher of record. Mallards Head Coach Darrell Handelsman went the bullpen five times to relieve starting pitcher Brian Kroll. Third baseman David Hrncirik was two for five with a pair of RBI to aide the Mallards offensive effort. Ben Stanczyk pitched two and a third for the loss for the Loggers. The two teams play the second game of a two game series Saturday, July 12 in Madison. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
