THE DUCK POND ? Right fielder Mike Pankratz hit for the cycle as the Wisconsin Woodchucks pasted the Madison Mallards 10-2 in a Northwoods League game Saturday night in front of 5,210 fans at Warner Park.

With the loss, Madison (33-23 overall, 11-13 second half) was eliminated from contention in the South Division for the second half. The Mallards won the first half title.

Madison, 8 ? games behind division-leading Wausau (37-19, 20-5) with eight games left, surrendered 16 hits.

James Boone and Javi Sanchez had RBIs in a two-run seventh for the Mallards, whose only hits were a double by Kyle Yates and a single by Doug Beck.

The Mallards play the Woodchucks again tonight at 6:05 at Warner Park.
