THE DUCK POND ? For the first time in franchise history the Madison Mallards are headed to the playoffs?and all indications are that it will be versus the Wausau Woodchucks.

By winning the first half in the Northwoods League South, the Mallards have assured themselves at least one home playoff game in a matchup which will be a best of three series against the South?s second half champion.

The championship series is also best of three and home field advantage is decided by best overall record between the champion of each division. The Mallards are guaranteed at least one home playoff game and could host up to four.

Playoff tickets are now available at the Mallards box office or by calling 246-4277 and charging by phone with a Visa or MasterCard. Reserved seats are $7 each and are sold in a series of four games for $28. If the Mallards do not host 4 games, the difference will be refunded.
