THE DUCK POND ? Along with the continued changes at the ballpark, the Madison Mallards would like to announce three additions to the front office staff. All three employees have earned promotions after starting with the club as interns.

Amanda Benzine is the new Director of Group Sales. Benzine, who also has worked in the University of Wisconsin?s athletic department, worked on the staff during the inaugural Mallards season of 2001 and is beginning her fourth season with the team. Having served in the Mallards ticket office her first three years, Benzine will be faced with the challenges of integrating the new online ticketing system, coordinating group sales to new suites, and overseeing more staff.

Conor Caloia will be returning to the Madison Mallards for his second season this summer. After serving as an intern in 2003, Caloia is now the Public Relations Director for the Mallards. In addition to handling public relations, Caloia will also be involved in sponsorship and group sales and game night management.

Eric Bjorling is the final addition to the staff and is also a returning former intern. Bjorling will serve as the Director of Marketing for the 2004 season. Last season, his first with the team, Bjorling was a marketing intern and also assisted with on-field promotions. This season he will be involved in sponsorship and group sales and grassroots marketing activities in the summer.

The 2004 season begins June 2 in Wausau with the home opener scheduled for Wednesday night, June 9, against the Mankato Moondogs.
