Heavy rain caused Wednesday night?s game between Madison and St. Cloud to be called after five innings of play, with the Mallards winning the contest, 4-0. The Mallards scored all four of their runs in the bottom of the 4th inning, before the game was postponed, and eventually called. Newcomer Zach Peterson made his pitching debut for Madison, giving up just one hit and impressively striking out six batters in four innings of work to pick up the victory.

Jeff Bieker went 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Greg Thomson had an RBI in the 4th inning, as the Mallards capitalized on St. Cloud defensive miscues on their way to their second victory in as many days against the River Bats.

After five victories in the last six games, the Mallards (7-6) take on the La Crosse Loggers twice before heading home again to face Alexandria on Saturday.
