Andy Sigerich finally surrendered a run this season, allowing two runs to cross the plate in the seventh inning. By that point however, the Mallards held an 8-0 lead, going on to win the contest 8-2.

Sigerich maintained his perfect record (4-0), striking out eight and allowing five hits in seven innings for the Mallards (13-11). Cody Hall provided two innings of shutout relief, helping to defeat the Honkers (13-12).

Third baseman Chad Frk went 2-5 with three RBI?s and keyed a four-run first inning with a two-run single. Doug Beck provided another run-scoring base hit that inning, putting the Mallards up 3-0. The Mallards scored once more in the first, and the four run lead proved to be more than enough for Andy Sigerich.

Mallards first baseman Jeff Bieker finished with two RBIs, and designated hitter Ryan Rogowski scored three times.

The Mallards will try to move a season high three games above .500 tonight in Rochester. Tuesday the Ducks return home to start a six-game home stand. Tickets for all Mallards games are available online, at www.mallardsbaseball.com, and at our office, located at Warner Park.
