The Great Outdoor Games may not be returning to Madison this summer, but on Saturday June 25, 2005 the Madison Mallards are going to do their best to fill that void. The first annual Not-So-Great Outdoor Games will be held at the Duck Pond when the Mallards take on the Rochester Honkers. The Not-So-Great Outdoor Games will feature competitions in the following events: Nintendo Duck Hunt, light pole climbing and bulb replacement, bat sawing, beer barrel rolling races and Stupid Pet Tricks. Additionally, the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free Mallards camouflage hats. The competitions will take place before and during the Mallards match-up against the Honkers.
