Returning Mallard Jeff Bieker hit six home runs this past week to help Fort Hays State advance to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament. The junior is batting .414 with 22 home runs and 75 RBI this season. Bieker is closing in on his school record of 23 home runs in a season and has a slugging percentage of .885. Returning Mallard Nate Trumm helped Northern Iowa to a 17-7 win over Creighton by going four for six with five RBI and two doubles. He is leading the Panthers in batting average (.353) and slugging percentage (.475).

A pair of returning UIC pitchers picked up wins this weekend. Zach Peterson won his seventh consecutive game and improved to 8-1. Madison native Ryan Zink won notched his second complete game win of the season in an 8-2 victory over Cleveland State. He is 5-5 with a 4.22 in 89.2 innings pitched.

Iowa left-hander Tim Gudex picked up a pair of wins and save this weekend. He is 9-3 on the season, including a Big Ten leading 7-0 in conference play.

Right-hander Adam Mills allowed only two runs in 8.2 innings of work in UNC-Charlotte?s 3-2 win over Louisville. He is 5-4 with a 5.38 ERA in 88.2 innings of work.
