The Mallards wanted no part of a three game losing streak as the team pounded out 11 runs on 13 hits in a trouncing of the Eau Claire Express Wednesday night in Eau Claire.

Mallards? catcher Kris Rochelle scored a team-high four runs as Casey Baron pitched five innings of scoreless baseball to put a stop to the Mallards losing streak.

Baron pitched five innings of scoreless ball, striking out two while allowing only five hits. Three Mallards recorded multi-hit games as designated hitter Randy Molina knocked in three runs on two hits.

Four Mallard pitchers combined to throw four innings of scoreless relief as the Mallards improved 6-4 in the second half.

The Mallards are back in action Thursday night in the first of a two-game series against the La Crosse Loggers.
