After clinching a play-off birth by winning the first-half Northwoods League South Division title, Madison Mallards play-off tickets are on sale to the general public for the 2005 Northwoods League Divisional and Championship series. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Mallards play-off tickets can be purchased online at www.mallardsbaseball.com, at the Mallards ticket office at the Duck Pond or by calling the Mallards ticket office at (608) 246-4277.

Fans are encouraged to buy tickets for all four possible home play-off games in order to reserve their favorite seat to watch the Mallards 2005 play-off run, as Madison looks to become the first team in Northwoods League history to repeat as Champions. All fans will receive full refunds for any of the four games not played at the Duck Pond.

Ticket prices will be as follows: Reserved (7.50 adult, 5.50 children and seniors), Bleacher Reserved (7.00 adults, 5.00 children and seniors), Standing Room Only (6.00 adults, 4.00 children and seniors) and Great Dane Duck Blind (28.00 adults, 23.00 adults no beer, 16.00 children).

Gift certificates can still be used for all home play-off games and must be turned in at the Mallards ticket office. All coupons, including Bonus Book and Bucky Book Coupons, are valid only for regular season games and cannot be redeemed for any play-off game.

The Divisional Series begins Monday, August 15 as the Mallards take on the second-half South Division Champions. The Championship series begins Thursday, August 18 with the South and North Division Champions squaring off. Play-off series? are best-of-three and all games are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The team with the best regular season record will have home-field advantage in each series, hosting two home games.

The Mallards clinched the first-half in dramatic fashion on the last day of the first-half, pulling out a 1-0 victory over the Mankato MoonDogs in 10 innings. Madison finished the first-half at 23-11, a game ahead of the second place Rochester Honkers.
