The Madison Mallards came into Tuesday night’s game against Thunder Bay tied with the Border Cats for the best overall record in the Northwoods League. However, Thunder Bay had no answer for the Mallards who pounded out a 7-1 victory en route to their eighth straight victory.

With the victory, Madison remains in a secure place atop the Northwoods League South Division second-half standings.

Adam Mills picked up his sixth win of the season, throwing eight innings, while scattering nine hits and giving up just one run. Mills had nine strikeouts on the evening.

Ryan Rogowski lead the way for the Mallards on offense, collecting four hits including one run and an RBI.
