Madison Mallard All-Star outfielder and University of Illinois senior Ryan Rogowski (Livonia, Mich.) will sign a contract with the Los Angeles Dodgers following the completion of the 2005 Northwoods League season.

Rogowski starred in the Northwoods League all summer, leading the Madison Mallards in batting average (.355), runs (52), hits (86), stolen bases (43), triples (5), home runs (4), slugging percentage (.483) and on-base percentage (.428) through Aug. 12. The outfielder also set the single-season Mallards record for stolen bases and is at 43 and counting.

Rogowski was named first team All-Big Ten at Illinois in 2005 after hitting a team-leading .374 and stealing 31-of-36 bases.
