Although the Mallards dropped a 4-0 decision to the Wisconsin Woodchucks Sunday in front of 7,181 fans on the final regular season home game of 2005, several positives can still be taken from the contest. The Mallards still have a playoff run to look forward to, with game one of the divisional playoffs beginning tomorrow night in Madison at 7:05 p.m.

The Ducks also set a Northwoods League record with a single season team ERA of 2.31, shattering the previous record of 2.54 held by the 2002 Wisconsin Woodchucks.

Kenny Pokryfke started the game for the Mallards, pitching five innings and allowing only one run. In his first start of the season, Pokryfke struck out six batters while allowing only four hits.

Ticket prices will be as follows: Reserved (7.50 adult, 5.50 children and seniors), Bleacher Reserved (7.00 adults, 5.00 children and seniors), Standing Room Only (6.00 adults, 4.00 children and seniors) and Great Dane Duck Blind (28.00 adults, 23.00 adults no beer, 16.00 children).

The Mallards are also providing a fan bus for Tuesday?s contest between the Honkers and Mallards in Rochester, departing at 2:30 p.m. The cost of the bus trip is 30 dollars and includes a game ticket, transportation and refreshments.
