We are now midway through March and the spring baseball season has swung into full gear. Once again, the Mallards had all of their returning players in action for their respective teams. Be sure to check out the rosters link on our home page to follow the players and their teams. Here are some of the stand out performances from this past weekend.

Outfielder Danny Dressman was named Big East player of the week. He played in all four games of the University of Texas ? San Antonio tournament (UTSA) over the weekend for Notre Dame. Dressman went a combined nine for 17, nine RBI and scored four runs.

Infielder Randy Molina started all three games for Stanford over the weekend. He went five for 10 with two runs, an RBI and two walks. Molina?s weekend was highlighted by a career-high four hits on Saturday in the 16-7 loss to the USC Trojans.

Infielder Dan Melvin had a very productive weekend for Maryland. He went four for 11 with three runs scored against the Florida State Seminoles, who were ranked second in the nation last weekend.
