It?s time again for the eighth installment of the weekly Mallards update. Once again, the Mallards had all of their returning players in action for their respective teams. Be sure to check out the rosters link on our home page to follow the players and their teams. Here are some of the stand out performances this past weekend.

Right-handed pitcher Adam Mills (4-1) made his eighth start of the season for UNC-Charlotte on Friday night. He went 6 2/3 innings, allowing four runs while striking out seven. Mills ended up getting the win over Temple University, 5-4. His ERA for the season is 3.07.

Fellow returning pitcher Casey Baron (1-2) pitched in his fourth start of the year on Sunday for Maryland. He went five innings, allowing three runs while striking out two. Baron got his first win of the season against Georgia Tech, who was ranked third in the nation last weekend.

Baron?s teammate Dan Melvin had another solid weekend for the Terps as well. In three games Melvin went four for 10 with three runs, one RBI and four walks. He has played in all 30 games and is hitting a team high .321.

Infielder Mike Rohde started all four games for Illinois this weekend. He went a combined six for 12 with two runs, three RBI and a walk. Illinois ended up splitting their four game series with Purdue and are now 13-8 overall.

Jordan Comadena was the designated hitter in two games for Purdue over the weekend. He went a combined two for seven with three RBI and hit his first homerun of his college career in a 10-4 win over Illinois.

Infielder Randy Molina played in three games for the Stanford Cardinal this weekend. He went a combined six for 13 with one RBI. Fans can chat live with Randy on Wednesday, April 5th at the gostanford.com chat room (2 pm Central).

Outfielder Danny Dressman started in all three games for Notre Dame this past weekend. He went a combined five for 10 with four runs scored. The Irish had won seven straight through the weekend and are now 18-8 overall. Dressman has played in all 22 games for the Irish and is currently hitting .400.
