With less than two months left until the start of the 2006 season, the Mallards had all of their returning players in action for their respective teams. Be sure to check out the rosters link on our home page to follow the players and their teams. Here are some of the stand out performances this past weekend.

Left-handed pitcher Casey Baron (1-3) made his fifth start of the season for Maryland on Friday night. He went 7 1/3 innings, allowing three runs while striking out three. Unfortunately, Baron?s performance against the number seven ranked team in the nation, Clemson, was not enough as the Terps lost 3-1.

Outfielder Danny Dressman started in all three games for Notre Dame this past weekend. He went a combined four for 13 with one RBI and scored five runs. The Irish extended their winning streak to 12 games and are now 22-8 overall and 8-1 in the Big East. Dressman has played in all 26 games for the Irish and is currently hitting .389.

Outfielder Jordan Comadena played in all three games for Purdue this weekend. In three games he went three for eight with two RBI and one run scored. The Boilermakers swept the three game series with Michigan State and are now 17-9 overall.
