With less than a month left until Opening Day, the Mallards had all of their returning players in action for their respective teams. Also, with the roster now complete there may be some new names appearing in the weekly recap. Be sure to check out the roster link on our home page to follow the players and their teams. Here are some of the stand out performances from this past weekend.

Infielder Mike Rohde started all four games for Illinois over the weekend. He went five for 15 with three runs. In the first game against Minnesota, Rohde went two for five with a homerun. Illinois ended up winning three of the four games over the Gophers.

Outfielder Danny Dressman started all three games for Notre Dame over the weekend. He went a combined five for 15 with two runs and three RBI. Dressman tied the game in the ninth and later scored the winning run in the first game of the double header on Saturday night against Connecticut. Notre Dame was ranked 8th in the nation going into this past weekend.

Outfielder Jordan Comadena played in three of four games for Purdue over the weekend. He went a combined four for 10 with two runs and one RBI. Comadena hit his second homerun of the season in the final game, giving the Boilermakers a 7-6 victory over Ohio State.

Infielder Randy Molina played in all three games for Stanford over the weekend. He went a combined four for nine with three runs and three walks. Stanford took two of three games from Arizona State this weekend. Molina is currently hitting .344.

Outfielder Ryan Basham started all three games for Michigan State over the weekend. He went a combined five for 13 with one RBI. Basham leads the Spartans with a .377 batting average. Michigan State will host Ohio State this coming weekend.
