The Madison Mallards will try to get above .500 for the first time this season when the team hosts the Wisconsin Woodchucks on “Quench Gum Guaranteed Win Night prsented by WB 57.”

In the unlikely event the Mallards lose tonight, all fans in attendance will receive one free ticket to a future Mallards game. Those tickets will be distributed after tonight’s contest.

Madison lost it’s first two games this season against Thunder Bay before sweeping the Mankato MoonDogs. The Mallards finished the team’s first road trip last night with a 3-0 win at Eau Claire against the Express. Last night’s win followed a 4-3, 13 inning loss at Eau Claire on Monday.

It’s unclear who the starting pitcher will be for Madison tonight. The team’s pitching staff has gotten a workout in the first six games. Last night, Casey Baron pitched magnificently to not only earn the first complete game shutout of the 2006 season in the Northwoods League, but also save the Mallards bullpen.

This is the first meeting of the season between these two teams. Last year, Madison won the season series 8-4. It was only the second time in Mallards history that Madison won the series. The other time was 2001, the Mallards first season, when Madison went 7-5 against the Woodchucks.

Great seats are still available. To order, visit www.mallardsbaseball.com or
