The Madison Mallards will look to maintain first place in the Northwoods League South Division tonight as the team wraps up a two-game series against the Wisconsin Woodchucks.

The Mallards, over .500 for the first time this season, have won two straight. Last year against the Woodchucks, Madison won eight of 12 games.

Marc Lewis (pictured below), who was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 26th round yesterday, will take the mound for the Mallards tonight. In one start so far this season, Lewis pitched six shutout innings while striking out three, walking none and giving up five hits en route to a no-decision. He has a 0.00 ERA.

Currently, Madison is tied for first in the NWL South with Eau Claire, Rochester and tonight’s opponent.
Tonight there will be great entertainment from Rockin’ Ray and the SkyyDoggs. This evening marks the second appearance at the Duck Pond for this one-of-a-kind, family friendly act.

Also tonight, the first 1,000 fans 14 and under receive a Mallards Duck Bill Hat courtesy of Stop-N-Go. It’s also the second night of five in the Budwesier pint glass series. The first 1,000 fans 21 and over will receive a unique pint glass.

Every Thursday at the Duck Pond, fans can take advantage of the Working Man’s Special sponsored by Wisconsin Sports Weekly, Badger Swim-N-Stix and Madison’s ESPN Radio 1070. A ticket, two beers and two hot dogs for just ten dollars and seventy cents.

It’s also PBR College Night. The first 100 fans with a college ID will receive a PBR hat. In addition, tickets are 2-for-1 with a college ID.

Don’t forget about the Great Dane Beer Tasting every Thursday, sponsored by 101.5, WIBA-FM. Fans can sample Great Dane brews for free during the pregame.
