The Madison Mallards are pleased to announce the addition of left-handed pitcher and outfielder Adam Tollefson to the team?s 30-man roster. Tollefson has been signed to a 10-day contract and will be in uniform tonight, June 27, as Mallards take on the Thunder Bay Border Cats in game one of a two-game set in Thunder Bay.

A native of De Pere, Wis., Tollefson attended West De Pere High School. He spent last season playing baseball for Milwaukee Area Technical College. At the plate this past spring, Tollefson hit .301 in 123 at bats for the Stormers. He also drove in 16 runs while scoring 22 times. On the mound, Tollefson posted a 2.19 ERA in 78 innings pitched. He also struck out an astounding 98 batters while walking 40.

To make room for Tollefson, the Mallards deactivated right-handed pitcher Eddie Burns due to injury. Burns has appeared in three games so far this summer after just completing his freshman year at Georgia Tech in the spring.

The Mallards are in action tonight in Thunder Bay, Canada, versus the Border Cats. Aaron Sims will have all the action beginning at 6:05 p.m. on Madison?s Fox Sports Radio 100.5 FM and online at www.mallardsbaseball.com.

The Mallards return to the Duck Pond Thursday, June 29, to take on the Brainerd Blue Thunder. It will be Pepsi Baseball Glove Night. The first 1,000 fans 14 and under will receive a baseball glove courtesy of Pepsi.

Great seats are still available for Thursday, Friday and Saturday?s games. Order yours today by visiting www.mallardsbaseball.com, calling 246.4277 or stop by the Duck Pond.
