The Madison Mallards will look to win their second straight tonight, July 8, as they take on Eau Claire Express in the second game of the Northwoods League second-half schedule. The Ducks are currently 1-0 after downing the Express last night 2-0 at Warner Park. First pitch tonight is set for 6:05.

The Mallards will send left-hander Marc Lewis (pictured below) to the hill in search of his third victory. In five starts this summer, Lewis has posted an ERA of 1.48. He?s struck out 12 and walked 12 in over 30 innings of work.

The Express will counter with right-hander Jordan Zimmermann. In six games this summer, five starts, Zimmermann is 2-1 with a 1.14 ERA. His 46 strikeouts are good for second in the NWL to go along with 17 walks. In over 39 innings pitched, Zimmermann hasn?t allowed a home run.

Tonight, the Madison Mallards take on the Eau Claire Express in game two of the series at the Duck Pond. It will be Interstate Battery Hat Night. The first 1,000 fans 18 and over will receive Mallards hats courtesy of Interstate Battery. It will also be Alliant Energy Glow In The Dark Baseball Night. The first 1,000 fans 14 and under will receive glow in the dark baseballs courtesy of Alliant Energy. All fans are invited to stick around after the game for the Life Style Staffing fireworks show.
