The Mallards have begun to release their 2007 tentative promotional schedule two promotions at a time every weekday.

The promotion for the last game of the year will be announced first while working towards Opening Day on May 31, 2007.

The promotions for Saturday, June 9 include:
Madison Muskies Turn-Back-the-Clock-Night presented by Dr. Jay Hazen Dentistry! The Mallards will play in authentic 1993 Muskies uniforms and free Muskies mesh caps will be given to the first 1,000 fans.

This night will also be Harley-Davidson Night presented by Capital City Harley-Davidson! Unique Harley-Davidson motorcycles will be on display and the first 500 fans in the Duck Blind will receive a Mallards six-pack cooler courtesy of Capital City Harley-Davidson.

Enjoy a pre and post game performance by the Hometown Sweethearts!

This Saturday and every Saturday throughout the season will feature the Budweiser Concert Series and post-game fireworks presented by Life Style Staffing. The Mallards are not responsible for any embarrassing mishaps that may occur as a result of excitement overload. Please dress accordingly.

On Friday, June 8, its Star Wars Night! Come meet Peter Mayhew, the 7’3” actor who played “Chewbacca,” and then stick around to watch a Star Wars movie in the outfield after the Mallards game. Be sure to come early; the first 500 fans will receive a Marcus Theatres megaphone popcorn holder and the exclusive opportunity to enjoy free popcorn during the movie!

Fans will be able to vote at Mallardsbaseball.com to decide which giveaway the Mallards will have on Opening Day.

The choices for the Opening Day giveaway are: sweat bands, bumper stickers, commemorative baseballs, and a mystery item.

On Thursday, April 26, the Madison Mallards will be giving fans and the media a preview to the 2007 season with the Mallards First Pitch. The event will be held at the Great Dane Brew Pub downtown location starting at 1:00 p.m. Mallards Head Coach C.J. Thieleke and P.A. Announcer Aaron Sims will speak about the 2007 roster accompanied by a slideshow. General Manager Vern Stenman will follow with a presentation about improvements to the ballpark along with insight about the completed promotional schedule. A fan question and answer session will follow. Admission is free to the public and appetizers, ballpark food, soda, and beer will be provided. Merchandise will also be available for purchase.

The Mallards season starts Thursday May 31 at the Duck Pond. Group tickets are on sale now and single-game tickets go on sale April 28th. Call 246-4277 or log onto Mallardsbaseball.com for more information.
