The Mallards are teaming up with TDS, Sonic Foundry and the Madison Media Institute to webcast every home game this season. From any location around the world, Mallards fans will be able to watch games in real-time and at no cost from the convenience of their desktop computer. Using a three-camera setup in the ballpark, students from the Madison Media Institute will send live-game footage to a program switcher in the press box that then relays the video to the website and 14 LCD television screens around the “Duck Pond” for fans viewing pleasure. TDS is providing the hosting for the online content, making it easy for fans to connect to live games via Sonic Foundry’s patented Mediasite webcasting and content management system. The first live broadcast is set for Opening Day on Thursday, May 31, when the Mallards play the Eau Claire Express.

To view the games via the Internet visit www.mallardsbaseball.com. Game highlights will also be available for on-demand viewing the following day throughout the season. Fans will need a 500kbps or better Internet connection along with the installation of Windows Media Player to run the application.

The Mallards season starts Thursday, May 31 against the Eau Claire Express at the Duck Pond. All tickets are on sale now! Call 246-4277 or log onto Mallardsbaseball.com for more information.
