Madison, Wis. – The Mallards recent home woes continued Tuesday night, as the team lost 8-4 to the North Division Rochester Honkers before 4,885 fans at the Duck Pond. Hard throwing left-hander Nick Kirk (Northern Iowa) was saddled with the loss (1-2), pitching six innings and allowing four runs. Mallards left fielder Jordan Comadena (Purdue) led the team with two hits and second baseman Brandon Wikoff (pictured) (Illinois) drove in a team-high two runs. With the loss, the team’s second half record now falls to 2-7.

The same two teams will square off again Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m.

Parents, bring your kids to the ballpark because Wednesday is Quench Gum Bat Night! The first 1,000 kids 14 & under will receive a wooden bat!
