With rain pouring into the Duck Pond, the Mallards managed to put up a nine-spot against the Rochester Honkers Wednesday in the bottom of the sixth inning. The runs broke up a 3-3 tie and led to a 12-4 Madison win.

Seven different Mallards finished the game with at least one hit, and four players had multi-hit performances. Several players stood out offensively, but Randy Molina led the surge with a two-run home run in the sixth, followed by Adam Pasono’s (pictured) three-RBI double to left center field. After Pasono crossed home, it counted for his second run of the inning.

On the other side of play, Michael Hutts pitched a strong six innings, giving up only two hits, three runs (one earned), four walks and three strikeouts.
