After debuting to a packed house of over 6,300 fans last year, the Mallards are proud to announce the MLB/Mallards Alumni Game presented by NSI & West Bend Mutual is returning to the “Duck Pond” tonight! The exhibition game will feature 9 former Major Leaguers and 10 former Mallards from the team’s first six years.

Highlighting the big league squad will be former Milwaukee Brewer relief pitcher Rollie Fingers. Best known for his handlebar moustache and as a dominant closer, Fingers (pictured) played for the Brewers from 1981 to ‘85 and won both the American League MVP and Cy Young Award in his first year with the franchise. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1992.

Also making appearances will be Bill Lee, Vida Blue, Steve Trout, Minnie Minoso, Danny Cox, Kenny Rietz, and Jay Johnstone.

Last year, former big leaguer Dave Kingman provided the biggest highlight of the game when he blasted a 310-foot shot into the left field corner, inches from being a home run.

In the end, Steve Schmitt’s Mallards Alumni All-Stars prevailed 6-5.

There will be opportunities to meet and greet and receive autographs from all participants before the game.
Gates will open at 4:00 p.m.

Great seats are still available for every game, including tonight’s Alumni Game, and can be purchased and printed by visiting Mallardsbaseball.com or by calling the ticket office at 246.4277.
