After succumbing to Mother Nature’s harsh winter that dropped over 100 inches of snow in the Madison area, we’re excited to warm you with a first-look at the Mallards zany and sure-to-be entertaining 2008 promotional schedule. Two promotions will be announced each day beginning with those during the season’s last pair of games (Aug. 8 & 9) while working our way to details of the sights and sounds that will fill the “Duck Pond” on Opening Day, Thursday, May 29th. We’ll also periodically announce news about ballpark improvements, menu additions, special events, including the third annual Alumni Game and the two-day Northwoods League All-Star Game bonanza hosted right here in Madison! Now is as good a time to make Mallardsbaseball.com your homepage so you don’t miss any of the exciting entertainment we have planned at the “Duck Pond” this summer!

Friday, August 8 – Fireside Hearth & Home Picture Frame Night with a special appearance by Star Wars character “Boba Fett” Daniel Logan (pictured)!

Is the force with you? After receiving your very own Mallards picture frame (first 1,000 fans) courtesy of Fireside Hearth & Home, be sure to stop by and say hello to “Boba Fett,” the bounty hunter character from Stars Wars!

Feeling lucky? A select number of picture frames will be autographed by “B” List celebrities & former big leaguers appearing earlier in the season. All fans will also have the opportunity to take pictures with the Mallards players before the game!

Saturday, August 9 – Quench Gum Fan Appreciation Night & Mallard Mobile Raffle!

It’s the last regular season game of the year and this can only mean one thing: more prizes and giveaways for you! Great promotional items will be thrown your way throughout the evening, so be sure to keep your eyes and ears open!

We’re also auctioning off the “Mallard mobile,” the famed red Geo Tracker equipped to handle T-shirt tosses of any magnitude on all terrains! Note: T-shirts & interns are not included. Proceeds from the raffle will benefit the Madison Children’s Museum.

Stick around afterwards for the season’s last fireworks show presented by Lifestyle Staffing!

Opening Day is only 59 days away and counting! There is no better time than now to reward your employees, impress clients, or party with some friends by reserving a suite at the “Duck Pond” this summer! Learn more by calling us at 246.4277!

Group tickets are on sale and single-game tickets will be available for purchase on April 26 at 9:00 a.m.

The Mallards open its eighth season at the “Duck Pond” against the La Crosse Loggers on Thursday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. Be sure to come early as we have a plethora of activities planned when the gates open at 5:30 p.m.!
