Madison, WI – April 4, 2008. Karaoke singers unite! American Idol Night returns to the “Duck Pond” on Saturday, July 26, & this year former infamous Idol contestant William Hung headlines the event! Currently a student at CSU Northridge (Calif.), Hung (pictured) appeared on the hit-show in 2003, gaining iconic status after singing Ricky Martin’s “She bangs, she bangs” to famed judges Paula, Simon, & Randy. Though it was a bit off-key, Hung’s emphatic hand gestures & positive attitude won-over the hearts of many around the world & even earned himself a $ 25,000 record deal. After the performance he admitted, “I have no professional training.” Hung will be available for autographs & pictures throughout the evening!

Sunday, July 27 – Thrift Painting baseball giveaway (first 1,000 kids) & Doggie Day at the “Duck Pond” presented by Animart & Capital K-9’s!
Kids, here’s your chance to replace the baseball that flew through your neighbor’s window & was never returned! The first 1,000 youngsters will receive a ball courtesy of Thrift Painting. Perhaps you’ve seen their billboards across town?
It’s also Doggie Day at the ballpark! All dogs will receive a Mallards Doggie Bandana thanks to the animal lovers at Animart & Capital K-9’s. Plus, Schoep’s Ice Cream will once again provide delicious soft-serve for your favorite four-legged friend!

The Mallards open their eighth season at the “Duck Pond” against the La Crosse Loggers on Thursday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. Be sure to come early as we have an abundance of activities planned when the gates open at 5:30 p.m.!
