Madison, WI – May 5, 2008. The Mallards are excited to announce the addition of the Amp Energy Vision Video Board for the 2008 season. For the first time Mallards fans will be able to check out instant replays of game action & more. Amp Energy Vision will also highlight player bio information, live video of in-between inning promotions, the Kiss Cam & more.

“It was important for us to improve the fan experience at the Duck Pond once again this summer” said Mallards GM Vern Stenman.

“The most exciting impact of the addition is that it will allow our talented PA Guy Aaron Sims to reduce the total number of announcements he needs to make every night from around 120 to less than 50 (most PA announcements will be moved to the video board). Hopefully this will provide fewer distractions for our fans that come to the games to enjoy a family friendly night at the park and not to be overwhelmed by continuous commercial reads. We’ll still have sponsored elements (on the video board), but I think they’ll flow better into our presentation this year.”

On Saturday, May 17, former & current Green Bay Packers will take on local firefighters in a charity softball game at the “Duck Pond.” All tickets are $ 15.83 & are on sale now! Tickets for the Great Dane Duck Blind & suites are unavailable for this event. Proceeds go to the Wisconsin State Fire Fighters Association. The game will begin at 2 p.m. with gates opening at 1 p.m.

The Mallards open their eighth season on Thursday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. against the rival La Crosse Loggers. All tickets are now on sale & can be purchased online at Mallardsbaseball.com, over the phone at 246.4277, or in-person at the “Duck Pond.”
