Madison, WI – May 12, 2008. Mallards fans, here’s the chance to show off your baseball knowledge. Predict the winners of 15 selected games each week to win fabulous Mallards prize packages throughout the season by playing Maynard’s Hot Picks Grand Slam Challenge on Madison.com! Read on for details.
How does it work?
1. Each week, Maynard G. Mallard will select 15 weekend (Friday/Saturday/Sunday) baseball games. Most will be Major League games, but during the Mallards season, some of them will be Northwoods League games – so get on down to the Duck Pond to scout the competition!
2. You predict the team you think will win each game, and answer the tiebreaker question.
3. The player who correctly picks the most games each week (and guesses the correct tiebreaker answer, if applicable) wins a fantastic Madison Mallards prize package.
4. At the end of the season, we’ll take each player’s five best weeks, and the player with the most total points will win the grand prize…or as Maynard calls it, the Grand Slam!

This Saturday, May 17, former & current Green Bay Packers will take on local firefighters in a charity softball game at the “Duck Pond.” All tickets are $ 15.83 & are on sale now! Tickets for the Great Dane Duck Blind & suites are unavailable for this event. Proceeds go to the Wisconsin State Fire Fighters Association. The game will begin at 2 p.m. with gates opening at 1 p.m.
The Mallards open their eighth season on Thursday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. against the rival La Crosse Loggers. All tickets are now on sale & can be purchased online at Mallardsbaseball.com, over the phone at 246.4277, or in-person at the “Duck Pond.”
