Madison, WI – May 23, 2008. A statue commemorating the Mallards One Millionth Fan will be revealed in a special ceremony on opening day, Thursday, May 29.
The team passed the remarkable One Million mark in franchise attendance when now 11-year old Elkhorn resident John Olsen entered the “Duck Pond” on August 10, 2007. Olsen was showered with confetti & awarded a customized jersey, along with the opportunity to throw out the first pitch.
The ceremony will take place after gates open at 5:30 p.m.

The Mallards open their eighth season on Thursday, May 29 at 7:05 p.m. against the rival La Crosse Loggers. Come celebrate the grand opening of Maynard’s locally-sourced burger joint & watch the One Millionth Fan statue be revealed! Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. to begin the festivities!
