Madison, WI – June 17, 2008. The second annual “Mallards Day” at the Oaks Golf Course in Cottage Grove was a resounding success with hundreds of golfers hitting the links for free Mallards tickets. However after Maynard G. Mallard threw his rental golf clubs into the water on hole #7 after an errant shot, he was forced to work jobs such as ground maintenance, bartending, & updating databases (pictured). “I think I’ll stick to baseball for the time being,” commented Maynard after posting a 78 through only six holes. We’d like to thank everyone for attending, & the Oaks Golf Course for hosting the event once again!

Wednesday is Alliant Energy Glow-in-the-Dark Mini Bat Night (first 1,000 kids) & Quench Gum Guaranteed Win Night! If the Mallards lose (no way!) all fans will receive free tickets to a future game upon exit. We’re also collecting used hearing aids & eye glasses for Save Sight Night!

Great seats are still available for all games and can be purchased online at Mallardsbaseball.com or by calling 246.4277.

Thanks for your support of Mallards baseball!
