Just when the Madison Mallards thought they had escaped the rains that have haunted Northwoods League teams throughout the early summer, Mother Nature once again unleashed torrential downpours and canceled Wednesday night’s tilt with the Bombers. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader Thursday beginning at 5:05 p.m. Each game will be seven innings with the second starting 30 minutes after the first. The event will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. just in time for the Home Run Derby. Which contestant will knock the most balls out of the “Duck Pond?”
