Madison, WI – July 13, 2008. For the first time since 2003 the Northwoods League All-Star Game will be in Madison Monday night, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05! The action at the “Duck Pond” will feature some of the best up-and-coming talent in all of collegiate summer league baseball. Don’t miss your chance to witness some of tomorrow’s stars today!

The game features four Madison Mallards who will be suiting up for the South Division. Pitchers Matt Jansen (Purdue) and Gabriel Shaw (Louisville), as well as outfielder Rob Lyerly (Charlotte) and catcher Eric Nielsen (Purdue) will all be in familiar territory at the “Duck Pond.” Mallards Manager C.J. Thieleke will be coaching the South Division All-Stars, earning the honor when the Mallards clinched the first-half South Division title. The rest of the Mallards coaching staff will be in uniform for the South Division as well.
