Madison, WI – January 13, 2009. The annual Dugout Club Banquet fundraiser for local baseball teams will be held this Monday, January 19 at the Madison Concourse Hotel located downtown. The banquet’s reception will begin at 5:45 p.m. followed by dinner at 7:00 p.m. For a third consecutive year, Milwaukee Brewers General Manager Doug Melvin (pictured) will give his “State of the Team” address during the meal. Also speaking will be newly hired Brewers third-base coach and McFarland native Brad Fischer. Individual tickets for the event are $ 50 and a table for 10 individuals can be purchased for $ 450. Also in attendance will be Maynard G. Mallard & Milwaukee Brewer Baseball Club’s Bernie Brewer, and Mallards fans take note; the ever-popular “Duck Pond” celebrity “Beefstick Joe” will be on-hand selling concessions for charity!
