Madison, WI – April 10, 2009. Charge your lightsabers Star Wars fans; General Grievous is coming to town! Star Wars & Astrobiology Night presented by the UW Geology Museum & NASA Astrobiology Institute (NAI), to be held on Friday, June 5, returns for a third year with a special appearance by Matthew Wood, the person who voiced the chief antagonist in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: Battlefront II, & Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Other activities planned throughout the evening include 250 flyer saucer Frisbees thrown into the crowd, the First Pitch delivered by a remote control rover, and an in-game dodgeball contest pitting Aliens vs. Humans. Woods’ appearance also marks the return of “Celebrity Friday Nights” a weekly series whereby different former actors or athletes visit the “Duck Pond” to pose for pictures and sign autographs.

Last season’s Friday Night cast included Gary Coleman (Diff’rent Strokes), Jerry Mathers (The Beav), Butch Patrick (Eddie Munster), and Anson “Potsie” Williams (Happy Days).

Also don’t forget that every Friday a free shuttle will run from both Nitty Gritty (downtown) and Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar (Middleton) to the “Duck Pond” 30 minutes prior to game time and return back to these establishments immediately following the game.

Be sure to get there early as both locations have a limited number of FREE Duck Blind tickets to bus-goers!
