Madison, WI – April 22, 2009. As the world celebrates Earth Day today, the Mallards are excited to announce the team has planned the ever-popular Great Dane Summertime St. Patty’s Night/Go Green Night for Saturday, June 6, whereby the first 2,000 fans will receive an Evergreen Tree Seedling! The Mallards will also wear Hemp uniforms for the first time that will be available in a post-game silent auction to benefit the Madison Children’s Museum. Also, you’ll want to stick around for a mesmerizing fireworks show! Don’t want to drive? Claddagh Irish Pub in Middleton will be providing a free shuttle to the “Duck Pond” at 5:30 p.m. and returning fans immediately following the game! A limited number of free Duck Blind tickets will also be handed out at Claddagh to early arrivers.
Please join us at the Great Dane Hilldale on Thursday, April 30, at 6:00 p.m. for our sixth-annual First Pitch Event where General Manager Vern Stenman & Manager C.J. Thieleke will detail the team’s 2009 promotions & roster. The event is free & the first 250 fans will receive a t-shirt courtesy of Sports Impressions!
Single-game tickets will go on sale Saturday, May 2 at 9:00 a.m.
The Mallards open its ninth season at the “Duck Pond” against the Rochester Honkers on June 1 at 7:05 p.m.
