Madison, WI – June 12, 2009. Look out below; Human Cannonball David “The Bullet” Smith presented by Charter Communications has been added to the promotional schedule & will be appearing next Friday, June 19 at the “Duck Pond!”
Returning for a fifth consecutive year, “The Bullet” will project himself out of a cannon from the outfield towards home plate–a distance of nearly 200 feet, after the Mallards defeat the Wisconsin Woodchucks. This is a spectacle you will not want to miss!
On that same date join us for Wolverine/X-Men Night, and meet Marvel Comics Character Wolverine! We’ll also hand out 1,000 Re-usable Grocery Bags to the first 1,000 fans courtesy of Oscar Mayer and T-Shirts to the first 500 fans courtesy of General Communications!
Don’t want to drive to the game? Visit either the Nitty Gritty (downtown) or Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar (Middleton) each Friday to ride a free shuttle to the “Duck Pond” and back immediately following the game! Come early; a select number of free Duck Blind tickets will be handed out to those first in line! The buses will leave each location at 6:15 p.m.
The Mallards resume their 4-game homestand tonight versus the La Crosse Loggers with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Join us for Johnny Cash Night as his original backing band, The Tennessee Three will perform pre-game at the ballpark & post-game at the Essen Haus. Walk hard!
