Here are some contest guidelines and rules:
ELIGIBILITY: The contest is open to children age 12 and under living within a 60-mile radius of Madison.
SUBMISSION FORMAT AND REGULATIONS: All entries must reflect a bovine-themed design for the Madison Moo, the originally chosen name for the Mallards. Contestants may use computer software to produce their design, but it is not required. All work must be original and must not contain any copyrighted materials. Submit just one entry per person. Entry form below must be filled out and submitted with the design.
HOW TO ENTER: Please print the attached template on which kids can make their design. Adobe Illustrator files can be emailed for kids who wish to use software for their design. Submit the finished work on or before April 23 to Whatif@mallardsbaseball.com or by mail to Madison Mallards, ATTN: Jersey Contest, 2920 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, WI 53704.
JUDGING AND WINNER NOTIFICATION: Entries will be judged in late April and the winner notified by May 1, with honorable mentions awarded if deemed necessary by the judging panel. All entries will be on display at the June 19 Mallards game (6:05 p.m. start). The sponsor may, in its sole discretion, remove, delete and/or disqualify submissions deemed to be inappropriate, illegal or non-compliant with these rules any time during the judging phase.
PRIZES: The winner will receive a Trek bicycle, a one-year membership to the new Madison Children’s Museum opening Aug. 14, and a jersey of his/her design autographed by the 2010 Madison Mallards team members. To receive the prizes, the winner must attend the June 19 Mallards game (6:05 p.m. start) at Warner Park, where he/she will be recognized and will throw out the first pitch.
*By entering this contest, participants affirm their voluntary participation in photographic and video footage for Madison Children’s Museum, the Madison Mallards, and by local media. Participants authorize MCM and the Mallards to use these photos/video footage and the winner’s name for printing anywhere, for general visual purposes and for general educational purposes. The contest sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any person that Madison Children’s Museum finds to be in violation of any term contained in these rules.
